All-on-4 Dental Implants
Losing most or all of your teeth can make it difficult to eat, speak, and smile with confidence but implant-supported dentures can help.
Our periodontist often recommends the All-on-4® implant technique–an advanced type of full-arch restoration that relies on just four posts.
Find out why Justin M. Schlaikjer's patients at our St. Louis, MO, office choose All-on-4 treatment...

3 Advantages of All-on-4 vs. Other Dental Implant Techniques
Minimal Preparation
Many patients with bone loss have been told that they are not good candidates for dental implants. But because All-on-4 requires less bone tissue, many people can receive implants without first undergoing bone grafting. This reduces your overall treatment timeline and treatment costs.
Just Four Implants
While traditional implant-supported dentures need to be supported by six to eight dental implants, All-on-4 requires just four. During surgery, Dr. Schlaikjer will place the two posterior implants at a 45-degree angle to maximize the bone tissue you have available.
Faster Results
With All-on-4 treatment, you can leave our St. Louis office with a fully functional, natural-looking temporary denture on the same day as your implant procedure. This means you don't have to struggle with a poorly fitting restoration or go without teeth.
What Exactly Is All-on-4?
As the name suggests, All-on-4 is simply a way to place a full denture on just four implants. But despite its simple concept, the technique offers innumerable benefits.
The treatment concept was developed by Nobel Biocare®, a globally recognized leader in dentistry. It was first used in 1998, and has since earned high patient satisfaction rates and been used to treat hundreds of thousands of patients with missing teeth.

All-on-4 Is Highly Recommended by Patients
To Qualify, You Should:
Be in Good General Health
To ensure the safety and success of your dental implant procedure, you will need to be in good overall health. Dr. Schlaikjer will conduct a full medical history evaluation prior to scheduling your surgery.
Commit to Regular Dental Care
Dental implants and dentures are not prone to decay like natural enamel but you will still need to practice good oral hygiene and attend regular dental check-ups at our practice.
But All-On-4 Is the Real Deal
Many patients are worried that this state-of-the-art dental treatment will be more expensive or less reliable than traditional implant techniques.
However, studies have found that All-on-4 is faster, more comfortable, and less expensive than other methods. At the same time, it boasts incredibly high success rates and many patients are able to enjoy their implant-supported restorations for up to 10 years or more. Plus, with proper care, implants can last for a lifetime.
We Specialize in Periodontics & Implant Dentistry
